Our Story

Our story begins in Carlisle, Massachusetts, in 1979…. our first backyard. Lois, who grew up on a small farm in Illinois, wanted to be able to provide her family with the same wholesome food she had grown up eating. Living on only two acres, our first cow was purchased….and literally raised in our backyard. We have been raising our own beef ever since.

In 1984 we moved to Alhambra, Illinois, to be closer to family. We were able to purchase a small farm and sustain a few more animals allowing us to begin sharing our product. We are fortunate to be able to raise our own meat. We would like to be able to share with others the benefits of knowing where and how your meat is grown. Our goal is to provide you with the highest quality product available, produced in a wholesome humane manner.
